the objects

At the heart of my work lies the object. Sometimes it’s a living being — a person or an animal — and other times it’s the everyday things that catch my attention. I love weaving them into my shoots, placing them in relation to my models. When object and person meet, a new story often unfolds — a spontaneous dialogue that can’t be planned.

I’m equally drawn to the unexpected discoveries along my walks: shapes, colors, and compositions that seem to call out, “Photograph me — I have a story to tell.” In those moments, even the smallest details — a torn poster, a piece of driftwood, a fragment of light — seem to come alive and claim their place in the world around me.
